About Me (and the Penguins)

Hi. I'm Sam. Have you noticed that I like to draw penguins? I've been drawing them since I was about 9 or 10. It was mostly doodles, until I started drawing digital versions with clothes in college. Despite my limited (nearly nonexistant?) artistic ability, my deep love of comics led me to eventually turn them into a comic strip. The first was Sam's Penguins: The Comic Strip, where I mostly tried to learn how to make a comic strip. Now I also make the comic strip The Arctic Avenger, where I'm trying to add a coherent story to everything I learned while making my first comic strip.

What else do you want to know about me? I'm a librarian by day (formerly a music librarian, now a systems librarian for a consortium, if you care about that kind of thing), I have a college degree in clarinet performance (weird, right?), I'm an awesome dad, and I love nachos. No, like I really love nachos. It's a problem. Is that enough about me? Move along!

Still here? Well, I guess I could tell you how to get in touch with me, if you really want. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, or via email. But seriously, go do something else now. My suggestion? Read my comics.
